The three-day training takes delegates through the 12 week programme using an accessible and interactive approach combining discussion, self-reflective exercises, visual media, active practice and participation.
The training will encourage and support delegates to fully embrace the part knowledge base/part therapeutic approach of the VOICE programme woven into each of the 12 weeks.
Facilitator training is for practitioners who work with people who have experienced all forms of domestic and sexual violence, intimate partner abuse and coercive control. The programme content can be applied both in the capacity of groups or in a 1:1 capacity.
Practitioners come from a range of statutory and voluntary agencies including: domestic abuse services, WA refuges/outreach, housing associations, health, CYP services, counselling, SARCs, IDVA services.
Delegates are provided with both a hard copy and e-version of the VOICE Programme Facilitator Manual, Resource Pack and Handouts prior to training.
